Watch The Trailer For Dolly Alderton’s ‘Everything I Know About Love’
If you’ve read Dolly Alderton’s book Everything I Know About Love, you know it’s just too damn relatable for anyone who’s ever been single in their twenties and thirties.
The 2018 book follows the journey of Dolly’s life, covering everything from friendships, boyfriends, love, grief, anxiety, and debaucherous nights out: basically all the things you go through in your early adult life.
And in extra exciting news, Everything I Know About Love has been turned into a series, dropping on Stan on June 8.
Starring Emma Appleton as lead character Maggie, the series is set in a 2012 London sharehouse, with flashbacks to the characters’ early ’00s adolescence. The series has also cast Bel Powley as Birdy, Marli Siu as Nell, and Aliyah Odoffin as Amara.
As in the book, the seven-episode series will document the changes that happen to adult friendships when inevitably some people settle down before others: basically, if you’ve ever been left single (and thriving?!) when your best friends start to couple up, you’ll probably see yourself in lead character, Maggie. Already by watching the trailer, she’s speaking to my soul.
