Everything You Need To Know About Predator Before Prey Launches On Disney+

Brought to you by Prey

Star original Movie Streaming Now

Ready your plasma cannons because the Predator series is getting its first new film in four years with female Comanche warrior, Naru (Amber Midthunder), taking on everyone’s favourite intergalactic trophy hunter in Prey, streaming on Disney+.

Set 300 years before the 1987 original, Prey returns the series to wilderness with director Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane) wanting to evoke the cat and mouse suspense of the film that kick-started it all.

Now if you don’t have a spare 107 entertainment minutes to watch the original movies on Disney+, here is everything you need to know about the Predator before Prey exclusively on Disney+.

Predators Are A Race Of Intergalactic Trophy Hunters

Treating planet Earth the same way big game hunters might treat a South African hunting lodge, Predators rock up on our little blue marble looking to hunt the greatest game of all; humans.

Although we have seen more than one Predator before, Prey returns to the classic solo Predator formula with the slightly dreadlocked hunter being one of the first to ever visit Earth hoping to bring back some skulls to show off to the lads.

They Can Turn Invisible

Already freaky to look upon (especially when they take off that mask!) the Predator is even more terrifying when it has activated its cloaking device making it near impossible to see.

A valiant warrior may find ways to deactivate the cloaking device (hint: try getting it wet!) but otherwise you might find yourself swinging at a whole bunch of air.

Predator Masks Have Thermal Vision

Not only can you not see them but they can see you wherever you might be hiding, like Santa but without caring if you’ve been naughty or nice.

Like an icon, Arnie covered himself in cold mud to hide himself from the Predator, getting us psyched to see how Naru will outsmart her pursuer in Prey.

There Is A Predator Code

Contrary to what you might think, Predators don’t just go round blasting people willy-nilly. They want to fight real warriors who pose a threat thus making a thrilling hunt and more impressive trophies.

Anyone who is not posing a threat due to incapacitation or being unarmed will usually be left alone by the Predator. We’ve even seen Predators drop their mask and weapons to fight a would-be trophy hand-to-hand combat style. We still don’t know the full extent of their code but you should know they don’t go round cutting people down like they’re playing GTA after a rough day at work.

Predators Get Real Creative Death Wise

However, if you are a worthy warrior (you girl boss you!) chances are the Predator is going to go mad artistic on your corpse.

With weapons that include arm blades, explosives, and a plasma cannon that is basically as smart as a space age Siri, Predators have a variety of methods to dispose of their prey. Whether you get blown up, shanked, or just splattered in general, the Predator wants you dead and might even have a bit of fun doing it.

Consider yourself officially prepared for the mayhem, suspense, and absolute carnage that will go down in Prey on Disney+.

They live to hunt, it hunts to live. Prey, Star original movie streaming now.
