There’s A ‘Farmer Wants A Wife’ Baby On The Way
If you needed further evidence that Farmer Wants a Wife is one of the most wholesome dating shows out, here it is: a FWAW baby!
Proving they’re in it for the long haul, Farmer Brad and Clare Hockings took to Instagram to announce their surprise pregnancy – just one month after the show wrapped up on Channel Seven.
The country cuties posed by a horse saddle, topped with two tiny baby booties. “We’re so excited to meet our newest little farm hand! Baby Jones due December,” Claire wrote in the caption. Aww. It’s a welcome break from the messy drama that the Married at First Sight cast is still creating.

In an interview with New Idea, the pair said that the pregnancy happened faster than expected, calling it a “crazy” time.
“[My parents] are so excited,” Clare told the publication. “Brad’s parents just welcomed a new granddaughter the other day, so it’ll be nice for our baby to have a little cousin close in age.”
Clare said she dealt with some morning sickness during her first trimester but is feeling “pretty good” now. As for the baby’s gender, the couple is determined to keep that a surprise and find out “the old-fashioned way”.
Their fellow Farmer Wants a Wife contestants flooded Clare’s Instagram post with comments, with Farmer Brenton writing: “Congrats guys, can’t wait!”
“This is so exciting!!! Congrats you two,” added Tess Brookman.
“Oh my congratulations guys,” Chelsea Booth wrote.
Farmer Brad’s declaration of love
This comes after Brad shared a soppy, but touching, Instagram post after the show wrapped up. After thanking all the other farmers, hosts and crew, he showed just how serious he was about Clare.
“I went on this crazy experience for one thing only, to find a partner in crime, and I can say I happily found that with you, darl. Clare, who would have thought we would find each other on a reality TV show, but we did, and I couldn’t be happier,” he said.
“We have many more rides in life together, and I can’t wait for what the future has in store for us.”
Farmer Brad and Clare, we’re rooting for you!
