A Farmer From ‘Farmer Wants A Wife’ Apparently Quits Early After He Finds The One

To steal a phrase from The Bachelor, it looks as though this year’s Farmer Wants a Wife could be the most dramatic season yet, with one of the farmers rumoured to walk out after finding love a little too quickly.

Farmer Wants a Wife, known as FWAW by its die-hard fans, follows five leading men who are, you guessed it, farmers as they date a group of women who are looking for the one and are keen to settle down on a… farm. Yee-haw!

The show is usually sweet and wholesome, but according to Woman’s Day, we can expect a bit of spice this year. The publication has reported that one of this year’s leads quickly becomes certain that he’s found his match and decides he CBF dating the rest of the women and finishing the show out, like a good reality TV farmer would.

“The farmer feels bad about letting down the other women but his heart is already made up,” a source told the magazine. “He feels he has really found the one. There’s no point wasting the others’ time by stringing them along.”

If you feel like you’ve just been whacked in the face with deja vu, let me ease your confusion. The juicy FWAW nugget is strangely reminiscent of Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette US in 2020, where she did basically the exact same thing.

Clare signed up to be the suitor but just days into her season, she decided that a contestant named Dale was the love of her life so they got casually engaged and bailed out of the show.  She was replaced by Tayshia Adams who finished out the season, and Claire and Dale broke up just two weeks after their engagement aired.

I’m not laughing, I swear.

Unfortunately for us spoiler-fiends, there’s no info about which farmer is tapping out early, or even who the source was that told Woman’s Day about the whole debacle. So we’re just going to have to do exactly what Channel 7 wants us to do, and tune into tonight’s (and every subsequent) episode to hopefully find out.
