Farmer Wants A Wife may have finished airing, but the drama is still alive and well. The contestants are currently spilling the tea in endless post-show interviews, and there have been some pretty interesting claims.

To recap: The very first fight of the season took place between Lucie Gilmour and Maddison Walker, who were competing for Farmer Andrew’s affections. The contestants didn’t get along (at ALL), and after Maddison “stole” the farmer away for a chat at the Country Ball, Lucie ended up calling her a “snake”, “rude” and a “bitch”. Yeah, it wasn’t pretty.

Farmer Andrew didn’t end up with either girl, though. Instead, he found his happily ever after with Claire Saunders. Regardless, Lucie’s still stirred up some drama between Maddison again in a revealing chat with So Dramatic!

According to Lucie, Maddison was kinda on the show for the wrong reasons (if true, we’re not surprised), and she actually wanted to be on last year’s season.

“[Maddison] applied for last season for Farmer Will,” she told So Dramatic!. “[Producers] called her up and said, ‘Oh, do you just want to do this [season] instead?”

The reality TV contestant also claimed that Maddison was on the show for publicity, so she could plug her Brisbane restaurant. “She’s got a restaurant in Brisbane, and she wanted to make her restaurant famous,” Lucie said.

What really happened between Farmer Wants A Wife’s Lucie and Maddison at the Country Ball?

Later in the podcast, Lucie also touched on the messy fight she had with Maddison at the Country Ball and how she reckons the producers encouraged it.

“Basically, we were at the Country Ball. And I was just over it. I hadn’t had any time with [Andrew],” Lucie said on the podcast.

According to Lucie, she told the rest of the contestants that she was going to have “a chat” with Farmer Andrew, and when he took her aside to talk, production stopped the couple because the camera crew wasn’t ready.

Her fellow contestants came to the decision that Lucie deserved to be the first girl to speak with the farmer once the cameras started rolling, but the contestants ended up waiting for about five hours.

“We sat there [until] midnight, and then I must have gone to the toilets. But they called Maddison out to fix her mic, which is code for ‘stir shit up’. And then they told her to ask him to go for a chat first,” she claimed. “Apparently, she was like: ‘No, Lucie’s going to lose her shit. But the producers told her she had to’.”

It seems as though both Lucie and Maddison walked into the producers’ trap, but you have to admit, this whole saga made for some damn good TV viewing.
