Father Dies After Eating A Macca’s Cheeseburger In One Bite
PSA: Don’t try eating a Macca’s cheeseburger in one bite.
An inquest has found that a father of three in the UK died after inhaling a McDonald’s cheeseburger in one bite. The incident occurred following a big night on the town with his mates.
According to the new inquest report, UK Darren Bray was returning to his friends place in October 2015 after purchasing a McDonald’s cheese burger. It found that he proclaimed his last words, “watch this” and squished the burger in to a ball of sugary-fatty goodness and shoved it whole in to his moth.
Paramedics performed CPR at the scene but were unable to revive Mr Bray, saying:
“There was an eight centimeter by five centimeter ball of food stuck at the back of his neck,”
“Darren would not have been able to breathe with that in his airway. Death would have followed quite quickly from a choking of this nature.”
Health authorities say that the incident serves as a warning to anyone thinking it might be a good idea to show off their eating abilities, particularly after a few drinks.
According to the Guardian, Sam Bisgrove witnessed the tragic and traumatic death of his friend, saying:
“I could see him trying to cough it up and he was making horrible noises”
“I tried to hit his back to help him clear his airway.”
