After months of fan speculation, X-Factor-made band Fifth Harmony have announced that they’re officially parting ways to pursue solo careers.

The group have promised to play all their upcoming shows as a group until the end of this year. From then on, Fifth Harmony members Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui, Normani and Ally Brooke will be going all 1D on us and individually releasing their own tracks.

The girls posted the news of their split on their social channels announcing that:

“After six years going hard, non stop, we also realised that in order to stay authentic to ourselves and to you, we do need to take some time for now to go on a hiatus from Fifth Harmony in order to pursue solo endeavours”.

“We are all very excited and grateful to be able to take this time to learn and grow creatively and really find our footing as individuals. In doing this we are allowing ourselves to gain new experiences, strengths and perspectives that we can bring back to our Fifth Harmony family.” They continued.

“To our Harmonizers, thank you for everything we have been able to build as Fifth Harmony. With your love and encouragement we will continue to build on ourselves, support one another in everything we do, and keep making you proud, each other proud and ourselves proud.”

A lot of their fans aren’t exactly surprised about the split, which some people would say has been coming since Camila Cabello left in December 2016 for a very successful solo career.

Surprised or not, the hashtag #ThankyouFifthHarmony has been trending since the band’s announcement and fans are sharing their feels all over twitter.

And fans are already calling for a reunion…that better include Camila

Who doesn’t love a good reunion tour!

Here is the band’s pretty-in-pink post announcing their split. RIP Fifth Harmony.
