The Foo Fighters have followed through on their promise to visit and perform a show in Cesena, Italy.

The American rockers led by Dave Grohl, vowed to play a gig in the Italian town after 1,000 local fans performed the band’s song ‘Learn To Fly’, simultaneously and made it into a video (see below).

The clip went viral and prompted a swift response from Grohl, who said they could expect to see him and the band soon.

True to his word, Grohl and the fellas rolled in and delivered an epic 27-song concert to their adoring fans.

The guys behind the campaign, known as Rockin’ 1000, were also invited onstage to jam out with the great men.

Still sitting on his throne due to his broken leg, Grohl thanked everybody who was involved, saying “We have to say thank you to all the musicians who are here tonight … it’s unbelievable.”

Good to see that despite being one of the biggest rockstars in the world, Davey boy is a still a top bloke.

Here’s the official Rockin’ 1000 clip below.
