Grab the tissues because we’re saying goodbye to six of our oldest and most beloved friends and it feels simultaneously joyful and devastating. Last night Friends: The Reunion premiered, as the series’ stars came together to reflect on the iconic show 17 years after the finale aired.

If you’re not a superfan of Friends, this two-hour reunion is not the show for you. Kindly see yourself out. For Friends fans, you probably found the whole thing deeply cathartic. The reunion saw Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Courtney Cox, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc return to their old stomping ground: the original Friends set. They reminisced about filming the show, which went on to make them all household names, before joining James Corden for an interview.

The reunion was full of surprises, with guest stars popping up all over the place. Cara Delevingne rocked Rachel’s bridesmaid dress, Justin Bieber modelled Ross’ iconic Spudnik costume, and Lady Gaga sang ‘Smelly Cat’ with Lisa. But the most shocking revelation came when Jen and David admitted they both were crushing on each other in the early seasons, but never dated as their timelines didn’t align. I WAS SCREAMING.

The reunion was filled with all sorts of nostalgia, with Janice, Gunther, the Gellar parents, and Richard all coming back. The only noticeable absences were Mike (aka Paul Rudd), along with Ross’ ex-wife Carole and her partner Susan, played respectively by Jane Sibbett and Jessica Hecht.

Let’s relive the whole nostalgic experience through the best tweets.
