MAFS’s Andrew Is Claiming Producers Faked Last Night’s Awks AF Kiss Rejection
If you witnessed last night’s episode of Married at First Sight Australia, then you would have seen the rejection of the century. It was a custard pie in the face of love.
As Perth firefighter Andrew attempted to serenade his new faux-wife Cheryl, leaning in for a pash, he was quickly pushed away, as Cheryl seemingly cried out, “I don’t want to kiss you”.
Ouch. Six words and a whole world of pain.
It actually physically hurts to watch, but for all you masochists out there, here it is again:

The plot thickens however, as now Andrew a.k.a Jonesy is claiming that the entire scene was orchestrated by the producers. Jonesy even took to the Married at First Sight Facebook page Wednesday morning, writing that what the viewers saw was manipulated audio from a different conversation.
“It’s a TV show guys. I don’t usually read this stuff but… that was our third take,” he wrote. “We were mucking around at that stage.”
“Her comment re[sic] the kiss was taken from her wedding with Jonathon.
“See if her lips move when she says it. Reality shows 101.”
Jonesy alleges that the whole, “I don’t want to kiss you,” remark was taken from a convo about Cheryl kissing her previous hubby Jonathan and inserted into the scene. Watching the exchange back (check it above), it is true that when those six fateful words are spoken, it’s difficult to see Cheryl’s lips.
Jonesy could be onto something here. Classic Jonesy being a total Jonesy. Jonesy.
Channel 9 have not yet made comment regarding Andrew’s accusations.
