The First Official ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 8 Teaser Is Here So Get Hyped
The biggest television event of 2019 edges closer and closer to our desperate eyeballs, with HBO today dropping the first official teaser for Game of Thrones season eight.
Unfortunately, the long dark night that has been the nearly 18 months without any substantial new footage of next year’s final season of the insanely huge fantasy drama continues despite the new teaser, as it’s merely a moody-ass CGI sequence.
Luckily it’s still pretty fucking cool as we see the Dragonstone war room that was a central location in 2017’s seventh season come to life as the metaphorical clash of fire and ice becomes a little too real.
In what Game of Thrones super nerds will no doubt attempt to read into to painful degrees, we also see several of the major house signals consumed by the elemental battle. The wolf of House Stark and the dragon of House Targaryen are the first to get eaten up by the encroaching frost before the Lannister lion meets a similar fate from a blaze of red fire.
What does it all mean? Probably nothing specific I’d bet! The books are literally called A Song of Ice and Fire so… you know. That’s probably it.
Game of Thrones season 8 ends our suffering next April. Bring. It. The. Fuck. On.
