It Turns Out There’s A Reason Jon Didn’t Pat Ghost On ‘Game Of Thrones’

On the latest episode of Game of Thrones two beloved characters met grisly deaths but all anyone could talk about was Jon Snow not reuniting with his direwolf Ghost and giving that good boi a pat.

Considering Ghost has been with Jon from day one, the least he could do is give his doggo a sign that he cares. PAT. HIM.

Many fans were left questioning why Jon didn’t pet his doggo Ghost, something a dog owner would never do. Director David Nutter told Huffington Post that it all came down to the wolf being computer generated and unable to interact with people.

“Since the direwolves are kind of CG creations, we felt it best to keep it as simple as possible,” said Nutter. “Keeping Ghost off to the side, I thought that played out better.”

I don’t think many people agree.

Twitter users have been taking the piss out of using special effects as an excuse considering all the crazy shit we’ve already seen this season.

Hopefully they find the budget for someone (anyone?) to give Ghost the pat he’s been longing for all these eight seasons.
