Have you been desperately wondering what has become of the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite ever since Gossip Girl ended in 2012? Well, today is a blessed day as the Gossip Girl reboot is not just on its way, the series’ first trailer just dropped.

The reboot looks every bit as glamorous as the original series, but the cast appear much younger. Gone are the days when mid-twenties actors could get away with portraying teens, and it’s all too fitting that the trailer’s anthem is Frank Ocean’s ‘Super Rich Kids’. Mood. Another thing that’s changed is that Gossip Girl no longer tracks their victims on a retro blog, instead Gossip Girl is now an Instagram account. Feel old yet?

The teaser sees a new girl arrive and try to fit in with the Manhattan social scene, and while the popular group initially welcomes her into their inner fold, soon the Queen B character (2021 Blair Waldolf, is that you?) becomes threatened by the newbie’s relationship with her boyfriend.

It’s all very high school, and I am 100% in.

Gossip Girl premieres on July 8 in the US and can be watched or streamed in Australia via Foxtel or Binge.
