Ya Boi Grant Denyer Just Won Himself The Gold Logie & Australia Is Rejoicing
Grant Denyer, the funny dude from Family Feud and our fave meme inspo, has just won Australia’s most coveted award in television: the Gold Logie.
The ultimate underdog was voted the most popular nominee on tonight’s 6oth TV Week Logie Awards, overcoming his competition which included Jessica Marais, Rodger Corser, Andrew Winter, and Tracy Grimshaw.
With the help of Tom Gleeson, Grant’s campaign for the gold kicked in during the last few weeks. As he collected his award he noted:
“Oh my god, I won. Jesus!” he said. “I can’t believe this. I wasn’t expecting to stand up here tonight.
“Obviously the power of people has been incredibly extraordinary.”
For the most part viewers are mighty stoked for him.

The news will come as bittersweet since Grant’s series Family Feud was recently axed.
“Absolutely blown away to be nominated for Gold Logie. Now [if only] I still had show to promote,” he posted on social media after being nominated.
Hopefully having a shiny golden statue to stare at on his mantle will help heal his wounds.
