Punkee had the chance to chat with Jacob Anderson ahead of Game Of Throne’s S7 debut on Foxtel next week. Turns out he’s a pretty chill dude.

The 27 yearold English actor also happens to make music and goes under the moniker Raleigh Ritchie. His debut album last year, ‘You’re a Man Now, Boy’ has also copped some positive views and millions of views online. Check out another side of Anderson in the music video ‘Stronger Than Ever’ below:

We had the brief chance to chat with Anderson about playing Grey Worm and how the character has changed over the first six seasons.  And as it turns out, he doesn’t think he’ll have a happy ending.

Q: It sounds as if Grey Worm’s evolved as a character.

Yeah absolutely. Every season he’s become a little bit more human, which makes things more complicated and difficult for him, because he’s always just been a fighting robot.

He just does what he’s told and that’s what his life is about. I will say that the hardest bit of acting I’ve ever had to do in my life was Grey Worm smiling last season.

I’ve played the character for so long I feel like I know him pretty well now, but that that was new territory.

Q: Do you think Grey Worm and Missandei have their own aspirations to rule?

I think Missandei and Grey Worm, in all reality, what they probably want is to get on a boat and go back to the Summer Isles and just chill.

They’ve spent their whole lives in slavery and then working for Daenerys.

“I think what they want is a happy ending. I’m not convinced they’re going to get one”

They love her and they’re loyal to her, but I think what they want is a happy ending. I’m not convinced they’re going to get one, but I think that’s what they want.

Q: Your character’s become a cult fan favourite. How has being in Game of Thrones changed your life?

I guess people stop me in the street more, which is fine. It’s nice that people care about something that I play a small part in. And it’s more than that. It’s a really difficult thing to articulate but I’m a snob and I’m a nerd: I love films, I love TV, I love comic books.

“I’m just really glad that I’m in a great show. I love it as a viewer too”

I’m very particular about the things that I like, so for me, I’m just really glad that I’m in a great show. I love it as a viewer too. I’m glad that they’re not just going to keep going on to ‘Season a million’, because they could.

I really like that they’ve got a beginning, middle, and an end, and I like what they’re doing with it.

I respect that a lot.
