A Canadian grandmother is screaming her lungs out, and not just because nobody has emptied the dishwasher. The 67 year-old, whose been nicknamed The Grindmother, has just released her first grindcore song, “Any Cost” which also has it’s own music video.

This brutal granny started belting out chest burning screams when she laid some vocals on a track for her son’s band Corrupt Leaders. Ever since then, black metal has run deep within her veins.

Deciding to branch out with her own solo project has clearly paid off, with the short doing going viral since being uploaded in early November.

“Any Cost” gets the blood pumping and the Grindmother can definitely work up a guttural scream, it’s got heavy riffs and a pummelling beat. You can tell she is having a great time screaming pure black metal into the microphone with a grimace on her face and a waterproof watch on her wrist.

Hopefully it won’t be long until this grinding granny gets a live gig, just so we can hear her yell to the crowd “OPEN UP THE PIT, but please don’t get hurt.”
