12 Stages Of Suffering Through A Group Assignment As Told By ‘Mean Girls’
Not to sound OTT, but there’s nothing worse than realising a certain percentage of your grade for a class is going to judged off a group assignment.
Let’s not sugarcoat it: Group assignments kinda suck. Actually, they really suck.
Most of the time they end up more dramatic and bloody than an episode of Grey’s Anatomy, and sometimes there are just as many deaths involved. OK, that may be a slight exaggeration.
Here are the 12 stages of suffering through a group assignment, as told through Mean Girls GIFS.
1. When the groups are pre-assigned.
2. When someone is always too busy for a meet-up so the others start bitching about them.
3. When the Type-A person in the group starts stressing out and bombarding the group text with messages weeks before the assignment is even due.
4. When one member refuses to pull their weight in any sort of way and just wants to talk shit.
5. And when that same person complains the most about the assignment/the amount of work that needs to be done.
6. When two people clash in the group and make things wildly uncomfortable for everyone else.
7. When someone starts crying from the stress of it all.
8. When it’s the night before it’s due and everyone is in a last-minute panic and ripping each other’s heads off.
9. When Type-A person literally can’t leave anything alone and is changing things the morning of handing it in.
10. When one person goes rogue in the group presentation.
11. When you have to give a group evaluation at the end and leave and receive feedback.
12. And when you finally hand it in, and vow never to see these people again.
Look it’s probably not worth passive-aggressively sharing this post with your group next time you have an assignment due, but I’m not your mum. Do what you want!
