⚠️ WARNING: Star Wars spoilers below. Consider this a friendly warning.

Earlier this week, we reported on the exclusion of leading ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ character Rey from Hasbro’s official Monopoly game. The popular board game gives fans the option to play as one of four characters: Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Finn or Kylo Ren.

The exclusion of Rey came as a shock to many, considering she is kinda the main character of the latest film and all. Taking to social media, it didn’t take long for fans to set the #WheresRey hashtag trending. Users on Twitter joined in with complaints about the way Rey and the Star Wars franchise in general has failed to equally represent the interest of young girls who love the movie just as much as many boys.

One such comment that we included in our previous story came from an adorable 8 year old who publicly shared a (beautifully colourised) letter to Hasbro demanding more Rey.

As Carrie Goldman‘s tweet of this letter (above) cracked 1.5k retweets, the folk at Hasbro took to the Notes app of their phone to address Annie Rose’s (and the internet’s) qualms. Here’s the neat, tidy and almost completely resolved response to her letter:

Hasbro’s response is pretty non-problematic considering they didn’t want to be one to spoil the fun for the majority of fans who were going to be seeing it two or so months after the board game was released. Fair. Let’s hope they keep to their promise of more Rey in the upcoming months. I for one, cannot wait to get an adult-sized costume and that 12 inch action figure is totally mine thank you very much!

The only question remains is if #wheresblackwidow and #wheresgamora will be answered too…
