A Loving Tribute To Haydn’s Best Moments On ‘The Bachelorette’

Tonight Angie bid farewell to firefighter Haydn Trick on The Bachelorette. He graced our screens for nearly four weeks, yet was one of the more mysterious guys in the house due to a lack of screentime.

He did have his moments though, which mainly involved calling out Jess for being misogynistic, not being a fan of Jamie, and sticking up for the bro-code. What we didn’t see at all on the show were, like, any of his chats with Angie.

But we did become fond of watching Haydn quietly observing the behaviour of everyone else at the cocktail parties, never short of an eye roll or a sarcastic remark, drink firmly in hand.

So Haydn, while we barely knew you, we were fans of you.

Here’s a roundup of Haydn’s best moments on The Bachelorette 2019:

1. On episode 1, he arrived!

2. On episode 2 he became our new hero after calling out Jess and being so visibly disgusted by his behaviour.

We were all Haydn pulling faces at Jess’ disgusting remarks.

3. He had a moment in episode 3, cheers-ing with the boys after Timm established a new bro-code, the one Jamie later broke.

Fun fact – when Jamie broke the code, it was Haydn who muttered “f**king Jamie” under his breath.

4. He also shared a beautiful bro moment with fellow bro Tom.

5. Here he is in episode 3 (lots of time in episode 3!) being pissed off after Jamie stole Angie away.

“Obviously Jamie is here for Jamie,” he said in his on-camera piece. “And I’m pissed off.”

He gave us many great expressions in episode 3 actually…

… and it’s when we noticed Haydn’s one true love – his vodka soda*.

*Editors note: it could be water. We have no way of knowing until Haydn writes back to our 157 DMs.

6. Haydn actually had a BIG episode 3 looking back… this is his face when Jamie called him a “smug bastard”.

7. Just when we thought we might not see all that much of Haydn in episode 4, he popped up for us again at the cocktail party.

Here he is, voddy soda in hand and he even said a couple of words this episode, telling Jamie he does think Timm is a real threat.

8. Haydn had another great moment in episode 5, after Jamie questioned whether the “I want a man who can stand up and deliver” line in a group date card would be about “delivering anniversary presents.”

Haydn, I don’t even have words for how much I’ll miss your expressions. You don’t even need to say a thing.

9. And Haydn popped up during episode 5’s cocktail party, having another moment with his delicious beverage, just before da boiz grill Ryan on breaking the bro-code.

10. King of serving us absolute looks.

11. In episode 6, he decided to move on to tuning Angie’s mum.

Just kidding! But it was nice to see him in daylight hours for once.

12. And then, Haydn faced his ultimate downfall. In episode 7 he let the whole gang know that he was quite content with being an uncle and didn’t see kids in his future, which caused Angie to bid farewell to him.

13. But before he left, he did get one last dig in at Jamie when Carlin returned in a similar suit, but with a rose.

“He looks exactly like Jamie but Jamie doesn’t have a rose,” he said.
