HELL YES: Phoebe Buffay Might Be Getting Her Very Own ‘Friends’ Spinoff Show
The best character from Friends a.k.a Phoebe Buffay might be getting her own spinoff series.
Let us all pray it’s nothing like Joey. *SHIVERS*
According to In Touch, Lisa Kudrow has been in talks with Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman “about a Phoebe Buffay spin-off,” an insider has told the magazine.
The pair are working together on a Netflix’s Grace and Frankie and have reportedly been spending their downtime together thinking about possible storylines for Phoebe.
Tbh, I’d be happy just to have Phoebe back on our screens sitting around in her onesie drinking a margarita from a comically long straw.
The series is rumoured to pick up as Phoebe, “would probably be divorced now and living back in NYC. It’s only natural that she would occasionally bump into her old Central Perk gang,” the insider said.
We can safely assume that her hubby Mike, played by Paul Rudd, is no longer in the picture. The spinoff would hopefully include many Friends cameos, as Phoebe crosses paths with her old mates. Fingers crossed we see appearances from Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry.
“It would be an epic TV moment. If there’s anyone that can make that happen, it’s Lisa.”
It’s still unconfirmed, but here’s hoping we also find out what happened to her hit song ‘Smelly Cat’ – surely it’s been transformed into a EDM banger by now?!
