Henry Pulled A Massive Move On ‘Australian Survivor’ & Twitter Was Divided
What a bloody ep of Australian Survivor! Just when we thought the series couldn’t get any more twistier, Henry goes ahead and up and leaves his own alliance. The very alliance that he created, only to turn his back on the gang and move to an enemy tribe.
We didn’t see that coming.
Henry’s switcharoo comes after Tara and Anneliese were voted out of the Samatau tribe, only to be kept alive by joining Asaga. There’s a lot to keep tabs on.
Everyone assumed two of the least popular members would move across to the rival tribe – like Ben (buy-bye!) – until Henry also offered himself as tribute. This came to the surprise of his alliance, especially Jacqui – who he had teamed up with since the beginning.
The most ingenious part? Jacqui and Henry were sharing an immunity idol. This very idol Henry has taken with him across to Samatau.
It was the ultimate power play, with Henry now able to establish alliances in BOTH tribes. He now joins major game-players Locky and AK. Hoeeee boy, viewers had feels.
Here’s what the Twittersphere is saying about Henry’s big move:
Many thought the move was misguided and dumb.
“I control Asaga 100%. That’s not going to change. Me not being there will ensure this” #SurvivorAU

Henry is a downright liar. I haven't liked him from the start and he needs to go! #SurvivorAU

Henry swapping is so fucking dumb. Way to make the target on your back bigger. You have an idol – it doesn't make you invincible #SurvivorAU

Henry makes the worst move in Survivor history #SurvivorAU

Henry really must be Jesus if he thinks he can still control Asaga from another tribe? #SurvivorAU

I'm all for big moves, but I cannot fathom making a decision based on 99.99% risk, 0.01% reward #SurvivorAU

Saying this right now and please save this to prove me wrong if I am: Henry just made the biggest mistake in #Survivor history #SurvivorAU

While many others rated Henry for making such a bold alliance swap.
Cunning Henry knows he has outstayed his welcome. Time to go & con a fresh new group. #SurvivorAU #thinksheisthesmartestontheisland #not

Smart move for Henry to go to the other tribe when he was at the top of his old one. He will be in the best position for merge #SurvivorAU

I'm backing Henry here. I reckon it will be one of the all time (in two seasons …) great moves. #SurvivorAU

Ben also changed tribes, and did his original tribe a big favour.
Ben finally did something useful for Asaga by swapping tribes. #SurvivorAU
