Addison Rae’s reboot of a teen movie classic, He’s All That, has finally dropped on Netflix and tbh… it’s not awful.

The general consensus is that the movie is better than expected — but that doesn’t mean it’s particularly good. This is also the assessment of Addison’s acting abilities: despite being a TikTok star, she’s more capable than anyone gave her credit for, however she’s still the weakest link among the cast. Starring opposite Addison is Cobra Kai’s Tanner Buchanan, who plays the character that cops a makeover. Then there’s a rather bizarre cameo from Kourtney Kardashian giving about as much energy as she puts into her work commitments on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

He’s All That is structured almost identically to its inspiration: 1999 teen staple She’s All That. The most popular student in school has a very public breakup and in an effort to reclaim their reputation, they agree to a bet that they can turn the dorkiest person in school into the prom king or queen. In this role reversed reboot, Rae plays influencer Padgett, who has to turn alternative, beanie-wearing, photography nerd and closet horse girl, Cameron (Buchanan), into the hottest guy in school… aka she gives him a haircut.

There’s some very strange and questionable moments in this movie, but there’s also a lot of good. Namely, the inclusion of She’s All That alumni — Rachel Leigh Cook and Matthew Lillard — who truly steal every scene they’re in.

Whether you loved or hated He’s All That, these memes will still tickle you.
