Get Set For A ‘High School Musical’ TV Show About A High School Doing ‘High School Musical’

A TV series based on High School Musical is in production and it will focus on a high school doing High School Musical, and is titled High School Musical: The Musical. Yup, we are confused too.

According to Variety, the scripted series will be shot docu-style and will follow a group of students at East High staging a performance of HSM.

The series will be available via Disney’s new streaming platform and feature a new cast of characters. Each episode will include a performance of a HSM fave, along with a new original song.

There’s no info yet on whether any of the stars of the OG film franchise will be involved. But we just know this series will be trash without our girl Sharpay.
