Hilary Duff Posted A Tribute To Ex-Boyfriend Aaron Carter And It’s Heartbreaking
Tributes are flooding in for Aaron Carter, the ’90s teen heartthrob who tragically passed away over the weekend.
Aaron’s death was confirmed by TMZ on Sunday, after the 34-year-old singer/actor was found dead at his home in Southern California. Carter’s fiancee, Melanie Martin, released a statement asking for privacy. “We are still in the process of accepting this unfortunate reality,” she said in a statement. “Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.”
Aaron rose to fame in the late-90s as Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter’s younger brother who forged his own career as a pop star. He released popular songs including ‘Crush’, ‘I Want Candy’, and ‘Aaron’s Party (Come Get It)’, with the singer releasing his first album when he was just nine years old.
The Carter sibling also found fame for reportedly dating both Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan during the early ’00s. Aaron was rumoured to have dated Lohan between 2002 and 2003, after he split up with Hilary Duff who he met in 2001. Carter made a cameo in an episode of The Lizzie McGuire Show where he sang one of his hits as Lizzie danced along.
In the aftermath of Carter’s passing, Hilary posted a tribute on Instagram.

Aaron’s brother Nick also shared a tribute on Instagram. “My heart has been broken today,” he wrote. “Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded. I have always held on to the hope, that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed.
“Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss. But the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here… God, please take care of my baby brother.”
Nick and Aaron’s sister, Leslie Carter, died at the age of 25 due to a drug overdose in 2012.
Our thoughts are with Aaron’s friends and family at this tragic time.
