The First Trailer For ‘House Of Cards’ Minus Kevin Spacey Is Here & We’re Screaming
Netflix dropped the first teaser trailer for the final season of House Of Cards this afternoon, smack bang in the middle of the Academy Awards.
It’s the first sneak peek we’ve been given of the show since its star, Kevin Spacey, left the franchise when several allegations of sexual misconduct were made against him.
The final season will instead focus on Claire Underwood (Robin Wright), who took over her husband Frank’s (Spacey) role as President at the end of season five. There’s no word yet on exactly how the show will deal with Frank’s absence, but we can only hope he gets hit by a train.
The trailer’s only 30 seconds long, so we don’t have a lot of detail yet, but it ends with Wright, wearing an incredible blue power suit, leaning on the resolute desk in the Oval Office.
“We’re just getting started”, she promises, which is weird, because this will be the show’s final season.
There’s no official release date yet, but the trailer promises the show will drop in the US fall, so there’s still some time to wait. Check out the trailer below.
