Aussie classic The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is arguably one of the best films our fair land has ever created. Combining the razzle-dazzle of the Aussie drag queen scene, with the often contrasting harsh local climate, in an almighty culture clash that has become a much-loved example of Australian cinema at its best.

Last night on ‘The Weekly’ in an interview with Hugo Weaving, the actor threw heads into a spin, confessing that he would be keen as a bean for a Priscilla sequel.

After host Charlie Pickering mentions that in a recent interview Keanu Reeves said he would be interested in doing another The Matrix film, the actor quickly changed the course of the conversation.

Check out the interview below, the Priscilla talk kicks off at around the 4 minute mark.

“I think we should do Priscilla Two, as well [as The Matrix],” he said.

When asked by Pickering what a sequel would look like, Weaving replied:

“So you just take these three girls much, much older and they’re falling to bits. They decide let’s say to build the space rocket and go to a planet somewhere and they do, and they’re is just a fantastical journey”.

The sequel actually sounds like the best thing ever.

“That’s just one thing off the top of my head,” Weaving concluded.

YAAAS KWEEN. Let’s make it happen.
