ICYMI ‘The Bachelorette’ Boys Broke Out Into Song Last Night & We Need To Talk About It
Last night’s ep of The Bachelorette was one for ages (watch TheVine’s recap here). During the cocktail party, the bunch of bachy blokes shocked Australia, when they spontaneously and simultaneously serenaded Georgia Love with their self-made little ditty.
Some might say it was soppy, cheesy or even cringe-worthy. But Georgia is a musical theatre geek (as am I) and the imagined delight of every one surrounding me breaking into song at any given moment, permeates through me, every second of every day of my sad musical-less existence.
It all started with Fireman Cam and a guitar. Just as he was becoming the most perfect man ever to exist, we discover he actually has a decent singing voice. Damn it, he’s superhuman.
Next up was Courtney and he was sweet. But okay, was Courtney carrying around pasta in his pockets all the damn day?! That’s commitment folks, but ‘Pasta Pockets’ doesn’t have the greatest voice.
Next up and who knew Rhys was fckin hilarious?! Ditch the poetry, mate. I would like more verses of grocery lists and less Sam deafening my ears with his squeaky banshee vocals making fun of Rhys.
Finally Clancy, wtf? Your verse was absolute RUBBISH DUDE. You’re called: Clancy. Do you know how many words rhyme with your name?! It’s easy pickings and all you could manage was to rhyme ‘cool’ with ‘pool’. GENIUS! Straight to Max Martin, we’ve got a banger!
That chorus though is damn catchy and the effort the boys must have put in is just so touching and adorable. Let’s just say that this season’s bunch of fellas make last year’s look like hobbits.
