Just Hear Me Out: Jess Eva Is Easily The Best Part Of ‘I’m A Celeb’

Every season when the lineup is revealed for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, there are always approximately 152 people who leave comments on social media like “celebrity? yeah, right!, “who?”, or “I don’t even know who they are”.

Now as original and hilarious as these comments are every damn year, (I only wish one day to be bored enough to spend my nights trolling news and entertainment sites commenting “who??” on every single article they write), there’s something that needs to be said and I’m ready to say it.

The best celebs on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! are the ones that we didn’t know HEAPS about when the season kicked off. The ones making the best TV are actually the ones everyone said “who? that’s not a celeb?!” about and that’s just the damn tea.

Just hear me out here: sure, we love Abbie Chatfield, we’re a Bachelor obsessed site, so that’s not new. It’s easy to stan Paulini, because we’re been doing it since 2003. It’s hard to miss Grant Denyer because he seems to be on TV every time we switch it on. And, of course, Jack Vidgen appearing on The Voice a couple of years ago made us all bow down to him.

I, too, would do anything Colin Fassnidge asked me to do with that accent. I want Toni Pearen to give me a big hug.

Given that most of these celebs are household names, it’s still been a bloody good time seeing their ‘real’ personas on I’m A Celeb, as they open up to their campmates and put their game face on for challenges.

But throughout the seasons it’s been the lesser-known names that have really made the show. In fact, they’ve completely won over our hearts.

This year, without a doubt, Jess Eva has stolen the show.

The bubbly contestant was first introduced to Australia after appearing on The Block and is now a radio host, and she’s won over a new legion of fans with her warmth, humour, and never-ending positivity on I’m A Celeb.

I also want to send a special shoutout to Travis Varcoe, who may be known amongst sporting fans, but as a non-AFL fan I have to admit I had no idea who he was before this season started… and now I would die for him.

And Jess and Travis’ close bond has made this season of I’m A Celeb an absolute joy to watch.

No pressure Jess and Trav, but we need this to happen.
