WATCH: The Aliens Are Back To Battle Liam Hemsworth & Jeff Goldblum In ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’
Aliens have a thing for the fourth of July and in 2016 they’re coming back for another slice of the stars and the stripes in ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’. In their attempt to conquer the rapidly depleting natural resources of earth, the Aliens strike where they always do – right in the heart of Freedom – Murica.
But fear not, Liam Hemsworth and Jeff Goldblum are there to save the day. With Jeff’s experience from the original Independence Day and also defeating hybrid dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, he’s been training the planet – but suspense – it doesn’t seem like it will be enough:
“I spent 20 years trying to get us ready for this. We used their technology to strengthen our planet. But it won’t be enough”
Unfortunately Will Smith’s character died in 2007 which is well before the events of this new movie take place. Along with this new trailer, 20th Century Fox have created a website which explains the plot and sub-plots of the first movie’ and the timeline of events that took place after.
Following some changes from Fox, it’s now believed this glorious feast of CGI will hit cinema screens sometime around June 24, 2016.
