Apple know your iPhone battery life is a total lost cause. With the workout the gadgets are copping at all hour of the day/night, the tech giant know that their tinsy internal batteries struggle to make the marathon distance to lunchtime.

So, to make things easier, the innovation team at Apple had a good hard look at themselves and invented a clever way to extend the battery.

We present to you, the Apple ‘Smart Battery Case’ for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S:

Turns out the likes of Twitter weren’t hundgy-percent sure on what to make of this latest piece of ‘innovation’. Apple are known for their sleek, clever use of space and the latest phone case literally looks like it’s been slapped on the back of the phone as some sick joke. Some people initially thought it was in fact a parody, until Apple confirmed that they’ll begin selling the item for $99.
