The 2003 flash animation masterpiece The End Of The World is a historic slice of internet content that went viral before going viral was even a ‘thing’.  Now, 15 years later, we have been gifted with a sequel.

Before YouTube had even come around, The End Of The World, AKA, End Of Ze World, dominated the early internet (remember when you used to find videos on eBaum’s World?!). If you need a refresher or just a moment to indulge in this monumental internet content, here it is in all its glory:

Now we have: END OF ZE WORLD …PROBABLY FOR REAL THIS TIME, and it is glorious. What a time to be alive – well – sorta.

It turns out that animator James Windsor who brought us the O.G. clip was never planning on making a sequel until 2017 came and made the end of the world seem like a pretty god damn imminent disaster. The sequel deals less in hypotheticals and more in IRL fuck-ups that have been going down (especially in the U.S of A of course).

Between taking on Trump, climate change, refugees, neo-nazis,  nukes and a lot of dick jokes, this is some fantastic content.

“No one likes a sequel that’s not as good as the original. :)” Windsor told Gizmodo, “But watching 2017 unfold made me want to make something. Maybe it’s just a way to deal with my own fear and anger and frustration.”

“I’m certainly still hopeful we can avoid doing something silly like blowing ourselves up, or not listening to scientists when they’re like, ‘No seriously, shit’s effed, and we need to stop this,'” Windsor said. “But there’s also action to be taken right away to avoid that stuff.”

Cheers to James Windsor for this 10/10 piece of woke, animated genius, and also for inventing the internet to begin with. Onya James.
