iPhone 6S and 6S plus get the ‘drop test’
It’s September and Apple fans worldwide have been gifted with their new annual iPhone instalment… The excitement is palpable.
Yes, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus hit the shelves earlier this week, with Apple fanboys and gals embracing this new shiny piece of technology in the only way they know how, lining up for hours on end outside their local Apple store in anticipation of getting their hands on the new device.
As with every iPhone release that we’ve encountered in the past, a tidal wave of Youtube videos have swept the internet, uploaded by die-hard ‘tekkies’. One of whom is Keaton Keller, an American Youtuber, who documents the classic ‘drop test’ of the new iPhone in an Australian Shopping centre.
Keaton was third in the world to receive the iPhone devices, and had them smashed, dented and broken within the hour. From the first drop height at waist level, Keaton reported that both phones were “holding up really well” with minimal damage being made to both phones, only small scratches and dents on the point of impact.
The second height, above head level saw the unfortunate destruction of the iPhone 6S with the front screen of the phone being completely shattered. The 6S Plus however withstood this drop with the screen remaining completely intact. Keaton accredits this to the new “7000 series aluminium” that Apple has used to construct the new 6S Plus in order to avoid any further bending situations…
So if you’re in the market for a new phone and happen to be a clumsy individual, the iPhone 6S Plus is your best bet, Keaton Keller, self proclaimed “gangster on a budget” assures us.
