Jamie Lynn Is Trying To Have A Redemption Arc With Her And Britney But We’re Not Buying It
Jamie Lynn Spears is currently competing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in the UK, and it seems like she’s trying to salvage her reputation while she’s knee-deep in spiders and snakes.
ICYMI, she’s been embroiled in a feud with her sister Britney for years, and in the pop singer’s memoir Woman In Me, Jamie Lynn came off bratty at best.
If you haven’t read it, Britney claimed that Jamie Lynn “ruled the roost” while they were growing up. “I’d listen to her spew these hateful words [to my mother], and I’d turn to my mother and say, ‘Are you going to let this little witch talk to you like that?’ I mean, she was bad,” Britney wrote.
In Britney’s memoir, the singer also admitted that she still loves Jamie Lynn and her family, but it isn’t easy to get past their tumultuous history. “I’m working to feel more compassion than anger toward her, and everyone who I feel has wronged me,” she wrote.
It’s unclear exactly how much involvement Jamie Lynn had in the conservatorship that Britney was placed under by her father. According to Britney’s memoir, Jamie Lynn told her sister to “stop fighting it”. Yikes.
Jamie Lynn also previously released her own book titled Things I Should Have Said, which Britney claimed was filled with “salacious stories about [Britney], many of them hurtful and outrageous.”
What did Jamie Lynn say on I’m A Celebrity?
Jamie Lynn made some big claims on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! recently, saying that she’s the only member of the Spears family who has “never taken anything from her”. She also said she loves her sister, but I, along with most of the world, am not buying it.
“I’ve been the one person in life, and she can say this, I’ve never taken anything from her,” Jamie Lynn said. “I could imagine she’d be worried about me out here… she’s probably checking in on me heavily.”

The Zoey 101 star said that Britney is a “good big sister”, but admitted that they do have their fair share of fights. “I love her… me and her, we throw down, I mean the world’s seen it.”
“I learned to stop talking about it publicly but you know what, families fight. Listen, we just do it better than most,” she added. “Me and her both have had a very complicated upbringing, we’ve had very complicated circumstances, and we both had to deal with them in different ways. Sometimes we took it out on each other, but perhaps we shouldn’t have.”
Considering Britney told us that her sister had such a good relationship with her father, Jamie Spears, I was giving some serious side-eye while watching the show. Plus, if you cast your mind back to 2022, Britney said that Jamie Lynn’s actions over the years were the opposite of what she’s now claiming.
“You say you love me… yet your loyalty is still with the people that hurt me the most!” Britney wrote on Instagram. “What Dad did to me, they don’t even do that to criminals… so for you to sit back and act completely aloof to what has happened to me is honestly insane to me!”
Britney fans react to Jamie Lynn’s claims.
Fans weren’t pleased by the reality TV clip, with many thinking that Jamie Lynn was just trying to cash in on her sister’s fame.
Then why have you been on three reality shows since the conservatorship ended? It’s almost like the money ran out or something…

“She’s obsessed with talking about Britney like leave her alone my god,” one person wrote.
“Jamie did this so she could fix her image and spin a new narrative,” a fan guessed.
“She literally went on I’m A Celeb to try and get people to take her side over Britney’s, it’s pathetic!” a third commented.
Britney has seemingly deactivated her Instagram account, but I’m hoping she comes back with an epic dance video and a caption that shares her side of this story.
