In the latest instalment of ‘messy reality TV breakups that won’t end’ Bachelor In Paradise’s Jarrod Woodgate has come out swinging against his ex Keira Maguire.

The couple called it quits over a week ago, and soon after Keira said in an interview that Jarrod had dumped her because she didn’t have a full-time job.

Now Jarrod has clapped back via WHO Magazine, essentially saying their relationship was fake and Keira was too obsessed with Instagram.

“Her Instagram following is overwhelming and it was taking over our relationship. She’s purely Instagram-focused and that takes up a lot of time,” he said.

“Being in the public eye, we made it look like we had a perfect relationship and that’s what people see on Instagram. I found myself turning into something I wasn’t [and] I couldn’t fake it anymore.”

It’s pretty nasty stuff, and tbh reeks of something one might say after a messy breakup to save face. Jarrod went on to say he was sick of competing with Instagram for Keira’s attention, he even went on to reveal that Keira makes “over $1,500″ for every post.

“Keira is a beautiful woman and I had the best times I’ve had in my life with her. But I didn’t see it going anywhere,” he said.

“I’d spend two days a week with her and it [was] basically all Instagram-based. It’s hard because you’re competing with 177,000 other people that follow her, but I shouldn’t have to compete.”

“For me, it wasn’t a genuine connection because everything we did went through Instagram and I’m a farm guy who hardly touches his phone.”

I don’t know what shaming a girl for getting her scroll on is meant to do, but it seems Keira and Jarrod’s love plant is well and truly dead.

Let’s hope this breakup doesn’t get any nastier.
