Beyonce was sent 10,000 flowers from Jay Z ahead of her appearance with Coldplay at the Super Bowl Half Time Show.

Swoooon! Jay Z has won over our hearts (again) showing that he might have 99 problems, but his wife definitely ain’t one. The ’99 Problems’ singer sent ‘Queen Bey’ 10,000 roses to wish her good luck before performing at the Super Bowl 50 Half Time show today. That’s a shit-tonne of flowers, and one has to ask:

  • a) How many trucks did it take to deliver them all?
  • b) WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY GOING TO PUT 10,000 FLOWERS?
  • c) Do they have enough vases to put them in?
  • d) Way to set the expectations up high before Valentines day – HOW’YA GONNA TOP THAT JAY!?

Jay Z made the grand gesture to wish his wife – with whom he has four-year-old daughter Blue Ivy (adorable image report – see below) – good luck ahead of her guest appearance at the prestigious Half Time Show with Coldplay at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, Us Weekly reports. As beautiful as the symbolic action might be, it’s probably more impractical than it first sounds.

As well as Beyonce, Bruno Mars will also be taking to the stage with the ‘Paradise’ hitmakers.

Though most of the details of the group’s performance have been kept under wraps, frontman Chris Martin confirmed earlier this week that Beyonce’s turn on stage won’t be to sing their recent collaboration ‘Hymn for the Weekend’.

Martin said:

“It only just came out, so I don’t think it would be quite right. We love Beyoncé’s music. She’s one of our all-time favourites, and she’s one of the greatest performers I’ve ever witnessed.

Everyone who does this show knows it’s the biggest honour.”

The NFL championship game between the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos will also see Lady Gaga sing the US national anthem. The game has just kicked off and those in Australia can watch it on free-to-air TV and stream it via the Channel Seven ‘Plus 7′ website here.
