The ‘Jersey Shore’ Spin-Off, ‘Floribama Shore’, Looks Absolutely Wild
If there’s been a guido-shaped hole in your heart ever since Jersey Shore wrapped up five years ago, you are in luck. MTV is launching a spin-off series bringing together a bunch of 20-somethings for a new reality show called Floribama Shore.

The creator and executive producer of Jersey Shore SallyAnn Salsano is behind the spin-off, which will bring together Floridians aged from 21 to 25 to spend their summer in Panama City Beach.
But don’t expect the same ol’ antics we came to know and love from Snookie, JWoww and The Situation, the Floribama gang told Us Magazine their series is much different.
“It’s a completely different part of the country. Obviously we’re going to be different. We’re not from Jersey,” star Gus Smyrnios said. “Every part of country, people are different. We’re trying to show how people are on the Floribama side, the Southeast region.”
Even the lingo is going to be a whole new language to learn. Say goodbye to the infamous GTL (gym, tan, laundry), Jeremiah Buioni said they have a Triple B Plan called “Bench, Babes, and Bars!”. It doesn’t have the same ring to it, tbh.
The dance style is another change of course. “They fist pump, we dab!” said Kirk Medas. Oh man, this is going to be wild.
The series has already kicked off in the US and is getting unflattering reviews. It’s definitely no Jersey Shore but at this point… we’ll take anything!
The series premieres on Aussie MTV Thursday January 11 from 6pm.
