John Krasinski Wrote Lyrics To ‘The Office’ Theme Song And It’s All You Need To Hear Today
If you, like me, simply struggle to pick a new movie or TV show to watch and then just end up streaming old episodes of The Office, then boy do we have a treat for you.
We’re calling attention to all The Office fans because John Krasinski has just delighted us with some incredible content.

Over the weekend, Krasinski was given the incredible privilege of hosting Saturday Night Live. Here, a lot of crazy shit went down. Krasinski kissed Pete Davidson and Machine Gun Kelly fell off the stage, but neither of these compares to one of the skits that played throughout the night.

In a pre-prepared video skit, Krasinski performs original lyrics to the tune of The Office theme song. No, we’re not joking. Yes, it’s incredible.
No longer will you need to scream “Da daaaaaaa da da da da daaaaaa da da dadadada Da DAAAAAA” etc. like the cast members of the sitcom have previously done.
John Krasinski may have partially written the Oscar-nominated film A Quiet Place but that doesn’t hold a candle to this well-written parody.
The lyrics of the song are as follows; “Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton, Scranton… That’s where we all live and work. That’s a calculator. There’s Dwight. He’s the bad guy. And the hero’s name is Jim. Highlighting! That’s his girlfriend. That guy’s on the phone. Tie flip. Then, there’s me again. Then Carell does the trophy thing. The Office!”

If you’re in the mood to check out more SNL skits about The Office, make sure you check out Rainn Wilson’s monologue on the differences between the shows, here.
John Krasinski, of course, played the adorable and kindhearted Jim Halpert in the U.S. instalment of The Office, which you can stream now on Netflix.
