John Oliver Tears Apart The RNC & Donald Trump’s “Symphony Of Bile”
After a short break, the one and only John Oliver returned to TV yesterday and immediately took aim at the unsurprisingly surprising US election.
Following the Cleveland Republican National Convention (RNC), Oliver summarised the event as “a mismanaged sh*t-show” saying that it was the “most apocalyptic thing ever to happen to that city.”
He tackled all aspects of the event, from Melania Trump using a plagiarised speech to Ted Cruz being booed off the stage for not endorsing DonaldTrump. But apart from pointing out the amusing moments, he used the segment to focus on the series of of misguided comments and lies, saying that the candidates highlighted feelings over facts. This was all before diving head first in to Trump’s “symphony of bile and race-baiting”. Perfection.
