Karl Spits Chips: Serves Up A Verbal Bashing At Bernard Tomic

Today Show co-host Karl Stefanovic is bloody livid at Bernard Tomic – as the uncontested national flog decides he can’t be bothered representing the nation at the Rio Olympics.

Instead, Tomic would rather play an obscure ATP Tour event in Mexico that he won last year – along with sighting ‘personal reasons’ for not wanting to attend – most likely not wanting to shack up with the folk at Tennis Australia, who aren’t really getting along well with him atm.

Well, man of the people ‘Karlos’ doesn’t like his filthy attitude one bloody bit and he’s not afraid to let you know about it.

On this morning’s show, he said:

“That is disgusting,”

“He’s been supported ably through his junior ranks and into the senior ranks by Tennis Australia.

“There can be no greater honour than representing your country at an Olympic Games as a sportsman or an athlete of any kind.

For him to say his schedule doesn’t allow him to play for his own country at an Olympic Games is a complete and utter disgrace. ”

Fair enough Karl.

This all comes on the back of Tomic deliberately giving up up a match point at a tournament in Madrid, where he claimed he didn’t care because he was worth $10 million. Obviously, Australian Olympic Committee chef de mission Kitty Chiller wasn’t all the impressed and publicly labeled his attitude “appalling”.
