Sad face all round, as it looks like everyone’s fave couple Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are officially over. D.U.N.Z.O.

It had been confirmed this week that the two were spending time apart, as the couple released a joint statement obtained by E! News, which stated:

“Before rumours or falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando, 40, and Katy, 32, are taking respectful, loving space at this time.”

Now Perry has taken to Twitter earlier today, posting about the split and confirming that the two are now just friends.

“U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one’s a victim or a villain, get a life y’all!,” she tweeted.

The split has been tainted by rumours of infidelity, with gossip mags spitting out speculation regarding Bloom havin’ a bunch of side-chicks, including most recently Erin McCabe.

Perry is clearly targeting these kinds of negative press in her tweet, and wants to clear her ex of any blame or wrong-doing.

It’s super sad to see the separation of one of our most-loved celeb couples. Especially as the babin’ pair have been dating for over a year and most assumed they were in it for the long haul.

As the wise Katy once said, I really believed they were like a plastic bag, you know, that they would drift through the wind and start again.

But, never fear we will always have the memory of naked Orlando’s exposed peen on a kayak. Nothing can take that away from us. It’s a vision that will last forever.
