KFC Is Donating $1 From Every Bucket Of Chippies Sold To Support Aussie Youth
KFC'S ‘CHIP IN FOR YOUTH’ WEEK RAISES MONEY FOR AUSTRALIA’S TOP YOUTH CHARITIES BY DONATING $1 FROM EVERY BUCKET OF CHIPS BOUGHT THIS WEEK.
Not that we needed an excuse to get our hands on chippies, but now they can literally change lives (and not just our own when we’re hangry). The good folks at KFC are donating $1 from every bucket of chips sold this week and the money is going to help young Aussies build the confidence they need to succeed.
First thing’s first, you read that right: bucket of chips. KFC, literal angels, have heard our prayers, answered them, and given the humble chippies a not-so-humble glow-up. The limited-edition bucket of chips is now available in stores for all your lunch and dinner (and maybe a cheeky brunch) needs.
And for every bucket of chips sold, $1 will go directly to the KFC Youth Foundation. The KFC Youth Foundation provides mentorship and skills development to young Australians, supports their mental wellbeing, and provides opportunities to help them overcome disadvantage.
“When people under 25 make up 90 per cent of your team, we know first-hand that when they feel supported young people can achieve incredible things,” says Nikki Lawson, Managing Director at KFC Australia.
“We want to help give all young Aussies opportunities to succeed and achieve, and even out the playing field for those who may face more or just a different set of challenges than others. This year’s survey results show there is more to be done to ensure all young Aussies feel the confidence they need to thrive.”
The KFC Youth Foundation was launched in 2018 and has already raised a massive $1.3 million. The money has gone to five partner charities including Reach, StreetWork, Whitelion, Youngcare, and ReachOut.
To find out what young Aussies actually care about (other than chippies), KFC launched the Confidence Report 2.0. The report found that 8 in 10 young Aussies have experienced a mental health issue and that young women are almost 20 percent more likely than young men to experience a crisis of confidence.
The good news is that overall confidence levels are up half a point from last year’s Confidence Report, but it’s clear there’s still more to be done to improve the confidence in young Aussies. From government policy to education and future opportunities, there’s a lot that young Aussies are concerned about.
Every bucket of chips sold in Australia between August 6 and 12 will help support young Aussies facing these issues. You’ll donate money to charity and get a bucket of chippies. Win *chef kissy fingers* win.

KFC backs youth and we’re encouraging the whole of Australia to as well. They can do this by purchasing a bucket of chips from any KFC restaurant during Chip In For Youth week or donate on the KFC Youth Foundation website.
