Kim Kardashian West Savagely Roasted Her Entire Family During Her Spicy ‘SNL’ Monologue
After weeks of anticipation, the long-awaited Kim Kardashian West Saturday Night Live episode finally happened this weekend and, in a surprise to most watching, she actually did great.
While people were worried that the social media sensation’s dry humour wouldn’t translate well over a scripted sketch show, Kardashian was able to hold her own in a number of skits.
Unafraid to poke fun at herself and her family, Kardashian joked about aging out of the club, spoofed her sister Kourtney Kardashian in ‘The People’s Kourt’, ran her own star-studded version of The Bachelorette with a number of familiar faces, did a Freaky Friday-style swap with cast member Aidy Bryant, and even kissed Pete Davidson in a modern remake of Aladdin.
But Kim Kardashian West’s best moment wasn’t a sketch during the show. Instead, it was her opening monologue where she wasn’t afraid to tear into everyone in her family — including herself.

Opening the show in a hot pink bodysuit, Kardashian noted that even she was surprised that she’d been asked to host the show, considering she hasn’t been in a movie since, you know, the home movie.
“I know, I’m surprised to see me here too,” she laughed. “When they asked I was like ‘You want me to host? Why?’ I haven’t had a movie premiere in a really long time. I mean actually, I only had that one movie come out and no one told me it was even premiering.”
“It must have slipped my mom’s mind,” Kardashian quipped, poking fun at rumours that momager Kris Jenner leaked her sex tape.
“I’m excited to be here tonight to show you guys that I’m so much more than just a pretty face… and good hair… and great makeup… and amazing boobs… and a perfect butt,” the beauty mogul continued setting her sights on her sisters.
“Basically, I’m just so much more than that reference photo my sisters showed their plastic surgeons.”

Kardashian then moved onto lovingly roasting the men in her life, like hubby Kanye West, unofficial stepdad Corey Gamble, and “family friend” O.J. Simpson.
“I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he’s the richest Black man in America, a talented, legit genius, who gave me four incredible kids,” she said about her husband before digging in. “So when I divorced him, you have to know it came down to just one thing: his personality.”
“But the one thing I’m really proud of is that no one can ever call me a gold digger,” Kardashian added. “Honestly, I’m not even sure how you become one. So I asked my mum’s boyfriend Corey [Gamble].”
The beauty mogul then joked about how her father introduced her to O.J. Simpson and used the opportunity to reminisce about his… infamous past.
“It’s because of [my father] that I met my first Black person. Want to take a stab in the dark at who it was?” she joked. “I know it’s sort of weird to remember the first Black person you met, but O.J. does leave a mark. Or several. Or none at all, I still don’t know!”
Of course, Caitlyn Jenner’s failed political career wasn’t safe from Kardashian’s attack either.
Kim Kardashian’s #SNL monologue had her dragging her sisters, her mother, her mother’s boyfriend, Caitlyn, OJ, Kanye, SNL itself, and herself.
Way to show everyone how to do it.

“Now I know we’re divided as a country but I would love America to come together, which is why I’m here to announce that I’m running for… I’m just kidding guys,” she laughed. “I’m not running for president, we can’t have three failed politicians in one family.”
Once she finished roasting her family to an absolute crisp, Kim Kardashian West then turned her attention to NBC and the lowly number of people who actually watch Saturday Night Live compared to her own personal following.
“I just want to say how incredibly excited I am to be up here on this stage tonight. I mean, I’m so used to having 360 million followers watching my every move and, I mean, how many people watch SNL—like 10 million?” Kardashian laughed.
“So tonight, tonight is just a chill intimate night for me.”
