Lea Michele & Ashley Tisdale’s ‘Dancing On My Own’ Cover Will Make You Ugly Cry
Get ready to feel all the things, as Lea Michele and Ashley Tisdale take on Robyn’s eternal heartbreak ballad ‘Dancing on My Own‘.
The song has found a resurgence in popularity this year after a new version of the Robyn hit was covered by Calum Scott. Almost seven years since it was first released, it’s no less of a punch straight to the heart.
As part of Tisdale’s ‘Music Session’ series, Michele was invited along for an episode to perform the song. The cover really shows off the Glee stars insane singing chops. She’s still got it.
The woman is a bloody superstar and because I’m a sucker for punishment, I’m imagining Lea is singing it about Cory Monteith, her boyfriend that passed away in 2013. Earlier this month Michele payed tribute to Monteith in a touching post on her Twitter page. It still hurts.
But this cover is just so damn beautiful and I’m crying wonderful but ugly tears.
