It’s been exactly ten years since Taylor Swift released her debut single.

T-Swizzle was 16 years old when she released her first single ‘Tim McGraw,’ which hit the Billboard Chart’s Top 10 back in 2006.

Since then, Swift has had a meteoric rise, becoming a global brand and arguably the biggest artist in the world. She has now released 35 singles and four number one albums in the last decade.

On top of that, she’s pretty much won every award in the music biz. She’s won so many bloody accolades, they’ve had to make up new ones to give her along the way. Dang, they’ve even named big awards after her!

But before all the glory and fame, TayTay kick-started her career by signing to Universal Music subsidiary label, Big Machine Records (which her big-shot Dad owned a chunk of ((thanks Dad))). She quickly shot to prominence after releasing her first single and was launched into the musical stratosphere.

Her self-titled, debut album was also released in 2006. It wasn’t until her hit song ‘Love Story‘ that she found herself hitting mainstream success on a global scale, including here in Australia.

She’s come a long way since she was a baby-faced, curly haired, country chanteuse. Take a look back and listen for yourself.
