Who would have thought eating a banana would be so a-peeling? Videos of hot girls giving blow jobs to bananas are the latest victim of the Chinese government’s internet censorship laws.

Banana Eating

This new crack down follows last month’s announcement from China’s Ministry of Culture stating that all major online streaming sites were under investigation for hosting violent or pornographic content.

The brits are going to bed, post gifs of people eating bananas.

China Central Television News (CCTV), a government run news service, reported that sites such as Douyu, panda.tv and YY have tightened control over their most popular hosts, who are “predominantly women showing their cleavage”.

The Facebook post from CCTV stated that

“There isn’t a fixed standard yet so the regulations across web hosts may vary, with some requirements such as prohibiting hosts from ‘eating bananas seductively’ while on camera.”

This isn’t the first time China has cracked down on weird shit. In 2014, the State General Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television issued an order restricting puns and word play on television and in advertising.

In 2013, a candle emoji was banned due to it’s connotations with the Tiananmen movement. ?

If you live in China, and you don’t know what the Tiananmen movement or the 1989 Tiananmen massacre is, too bad. Google and the People’s Republic of China have censored all information pertaining to those events.

Considering sites like YY and panda.tv won’t be streaming sexualised fruit eating pornography anymore, looks like it’s time to head back to the produce section of your local supermarket. In the meantime, we’ll just leave this here:
