Gordo Is Back For The ‘Lizzie McGuire’ Revival & This Is What Dreams Are Made Of
It’s the most exciting series reboot to come since Gilmore Girls, and the Lizzie McGuire revival already looks like it’s going to be the best thing about 2020.
Since it was announced back in August, the series has already started filming and most of our faves have been locked in to return, including Hilary Duff (of course) and Lizzie’s whole fam – Hallie Todd, Robert Carradine and Jake Thomas. But the only question left that needed to be answered: What about Gordo?
Thankfully, our prayers have been answered and Hilary’s loveable sidekick, played by Adam Lamberg, will return to the series.
Hilary posted a clip to announce the news herself before Adam crashed in to confirm Gordo’s back:
We last saw Gordo in The Lizzie McGuire movie, having to put up with Lizzie getting her flirt on with garbage person Paolo, but the film ended with the two seemingly starting some kind of romantic collection. The final scene showed Lizzie briefly kissing Gordo, which in 2003 was basically a marriage proposal.
The revival will see Lizzie as a 30-year-old millennial in New York City, so will they be dating or even married now?! This is what dreams are made of!
“Gordo was an essential piece of the puzzle to what made the original Lizzie McGuire so authentic and beloved,” Hilary said about Adam‘s return.
“I couldn’t imagine the series without him. I can’t wait for fans to see what he’s up to 15 years later and how he fits into Lizzie’s adult world.”
Let us pray that those two crazy kids finally got together! The series revival is expected to drop sometime in 2020.
