LOLZ: ‘MasterChef’ Underdog Ray Is Live-Tweeting His Cooking Mistakes & It’s Gold
MasterChef’s unsung hero is without doubt Ray Silva. He is the underdog to watch and his staying power in the competition is dividing opinion – especially on social media.
On Monday night’s ep of MasterChef, some viewers were frustrated that Ray wasn’t sent packing during the ’12 recipe’ Rita cake elimination round. Instead Pia was eliminated in her first pressure test, despite Silva’s shoddy construction of the dessert.
While in last night’s relay round, Silva failed to add jelly to his team’s dish, endangering the red team’s spot. But funnily enough, along with viewers tweeting their frustrations with Ray, is the man himself live-tweeting reflections on his cooking mishaps.
As users posted tweets lambasting Ray for not adding the jelly, the novice chef tweeted back lols like:
????????♂️ jelly? What jelly? #masterchefau

One of the major criticisms has been over how bloody slow Ray works, and the label sloth has been thrown around. But Silva owns that shit.
Thanks Samuel. Sloth is my normal pace #MasterChefAU
