Lorde has taken the stage at the BRIT Awards, in a history-making tribute to David Bowie, backed by Bowie’s band.

The performance begins with the band going through some of Bowie’s greatest hits, accompanied with a montage of iconic Bowie images, before Lorde sings a stirring and fucking spine-tingling rendition of ‘Life on Mars’.

Lorde’s tribute comes after Lady Gaga’s impressive performance at the Grammy Awards. In what was considered by some as a bit of a mish-mash of Bowie, Gaga was criticised by some for not feeling completely organic in her rendition. It was also controversially tied and seemed to be marketing for technology company Intel.

With Lorde receiving a standing O, the cover of ‘Life of Mars’ was beyond perf and won’t leave a dry eye in sight.
