LOVE IS ALIVE: MAFS Couple Goals Alene & Simon Reveal Plans To Have a Baby

If we learnt one thing from the reunion episode of ‘Married at First Sight’ last night, it was that love is a lie and we’re all doomed to a life of loneliness. Or at least within the reality TV dating format, where the chance of actually finding love is about the same as discovering that Anthony has a soul.

Out of the 10 couples that started their MAFS journey, only two pairs have stayed together. It’s a shockingly bad result, calling into question whether these “love psychologists” actually know what they’re doing.

But one couple that consistently restored our faith in the dating competition was Simon and Alene. Seemingly mismatched at first, the couple have gone from strength to strength and are honestly just bloody adorable.

Get ready to squeal ‘AWWWWWWW,’ all over again, as it’s been revealed Simon and Alene are planning to have a baby… well, twins actually.

In an interview with Woman’s Day, Alene revealed:

“The ideal would be to have twins, a boy and a girl,” she said.“I’d rather struggle with one pregnancy than have two in five years, and I know Simon will be a great dad.”

They have even talked baby names. “We’re going to call them Valerie and Damien,” said Alene. Classic Simon was quick to shorten the names, lol-ing, “Don’t you mean Damo and Val?”.

The news is refreshing, as in terms of love matches, this season of MAFS has been a massive failure – while simultaneously ratings nepalm.

After all: LOVE IS ALIVE.
