Conor Howard is being dragged to filth by Love Island fans for his f**kboy behaviour, and tbh, it’s what he deserves!

Love Island has just returned to Channel 9, both on 9Now and 9Go! If you need a quick refresher on the show: Love Island is a reality dating show where hot sexy singles pair up in a villa, and the name of the game is to stay paired up. If one of the islanders becomes single, they’re at risk of elimination. Singles are introduced throughout the season, potentially making it harder for established couples to stay together.

The show returned this week, with fans have already expressed their anger towards Conor, a buff real estate agent from East Sydney. Since episode one, fans have dragged him through the mud, even calling him a “walking red flag” for his behaviour.

On episode one, Conor was coupled up with Jessica, but she was not his first choice. His first choice was actually Layla, who was eventually taken by Austen.

Conor and Jessica were the first couple to hook up on the show, after Conor interrupted Jess mid convo with a surprise snog, which she later pointed out as a “pink flag” and said she thought he was just ‘ticking off’ a box.

Later on in the episode, Conor and Jess were rocked with a bit of drama after Conor kissed Claudia when he was asked to kiss his favourite islander during a cheeky game of truth or dare.

The smooch struck a nerve in Jess, causing her to pull Conor aside. In their private conversation, Jess shared her true intentions for Love Island, telling Conor, “I’m actually here to find someone. I genuinely want to find a connection and take that on the outside.” As Jess poured her heart out to Conor, he told her he “wants to keep her happy,” and to “keep her smiling,” despite him just kissing Claudia.

After Jess forgave Conor, Conor said that the kiss with Claudia was a “positive” thing and that it brought him closer to Jess. Umm. Yikes.

Anyways… in episode two, we were introduced to the first round of bombshells, Tak and Callum. Immediately, Jess was attracted to Tak, after they talked about their shared love for anime.

Conor noticed the connection between Jess and Tak, which caused him to make his most toxic move yet.

He randomly pulled Stella aside, admitting he only noticed her after she straightened her hair, blatantly telling her, “your hair straightened changed everything for me, I’ll tell you that.” How romantic, amirite?

Conor then went on to tell Stella that he would like to ‘couple up with her’. Thankfully, Stella saw through the BS, shutting down Connor by saying he needed to get to know her first. Stella later revealed the whole interaction made her want to kiss her partner, Andre.

In true girl code, Stella spilled all the tea to Jess, and the rest of the girls in the villa. The spill sesh pushed Jess to confront Conor after the red flag challenge. Jess told Conor that she knew everything about his conversation with Stella, and said that his actions have left her “head-f**ked.”

Instead of Conor taking responsibility for his actions, he gaslit the crap outta Jess, bringing up the fact that Jess was getting close to Tak. Conor attempted to downplay the severity of his actions, claiming that being on Love Island was “not real life” but then retracted his statement saying “it is real life” because Jess likes him and he likes Jess — wow, now I feel head-f*cked after relaying that convo.

To top off all the toxicity, Conor said “I literally have done nothing, I’m a saint” in his confessional.

The whole argument was a textbook example of gaslighting. Unfortunately, Jess and Conor seemingly made amends at the end of the fight, but it looks like Jess is starting to see through his bullshit. She said in her confessional “Conor can be manipulative” and “Conor always tries to get our of an argument by kissing me… and it works.”

Watch the whole argument unfold below:

Thankfully for Jess, she went on dates with the two bombshells on Wednesday night’s episode so it looks like Conor could soon be a distant memory.

Love Island fans have taken to Twitter to share their reactions to Conor, his toxic behaviour, and his current relationship status with Jess.

Here are some of the best digs at Conor from Love Island fans:

No one has been eliminated just yet, but I think we’re all banking on Conor to get the boot.

Love Island streams on 9Now and 9Go! from Mondays to Thursdays at 6pm.
